All Creatures Great and Sewn
I started knitting as a small child, when my Grandma taught me. I have to say I've come a long way since the oddly shaped snakes and giraffes of early childhood!
After university, I got back in to the knitting and one summer taught myself to crochet too. When I moved to Bristol in 2009 and met some other fantastic crafters, I started to go to markets with under the collective title Bike Basket Market. We would rock up on our bikes, use these as tables and display units, before riding a hopefully lighter bike into the sunset!
Unfortunately, the bike collective folded but I still sell at some local markets (and still arrive by bike!) and online. Alongside crochet, I upcycle tins with cute and quirky decoupage designs and strongly believe in reducing waste when making my products; I reuse packaging, source second hand goods where possible and reuse my scraps. 50% of all sales are being donated to a local pet re-homing charity in the South -West where we adopted our cat, Rick.
I hope you like my makes and hope to hear from you soon,
Jess :o)
